Lately I’ve been feeling… foggy.
Not confused about what matters — that part is actually very clear. I know the direction. I even have a written plan.
But when it comes time to take the next practical step, it’s like I’m walking through a funhouse of magic mirrors. Everything looks distorted. The floor tilts. Nothing quite lines up the way it usually does.
“I’ve seen a few headlines this week talking about ‘that unsettled feeling’ — and it made me pause. Because when a phrase like that starts appearing everywhere, it usually means something collective is trying to be acknowledged.”
That’s not how I normally experience my life — and I’ve been sitting with why.

That unsettled feeling — when you know where you are, but the next step hasn’t quite come into focus yet.
For me, part of it is grief. I lost a close friend suddenly, and that kind of loss leaves you unmoored for a while, even when you’re “functioning.” Part of it is the constant barrage of noise and peril in the world right now. And part of it, honestly, is just being tired from pushing hard for a long time.
So if you’ve felt disoriented lately — not broken, not lost, just… off — I want you to know you’re not imagining it. Sometimes the fog isn’t a failure. It’s a signal that something inside us is recalibrating.
Here’s the grounding news: even in this fog, the work is still moving.
I just finished the next book in the Healing the Wanting series, and I’m almost done with the one after it. They’re companion volumes, and if all goes well they’ll be released together by the end of the month. I’m genuinely excited about them — and yes, more proud than I probably should be. 😉
If you haven’t yet read the Healing the Wanting Foundation Trilogy, this is the perfect place to begin. It lays the groundwork for everything that’s coming next — and if you’re feeling foggy, restless, or quietly misaligned, it tends to meet people right where they are.
