A few weeks ago, I wrote about a new holiday book about to go into print for pet lovers (and especially Corgi lovers). It’s now being shipped — and early reviews are outstanding, both for the art and for the excellent, touching story.
Here is the link to the original article The Watching 2010 .
And — speaking of Corgi art — the book is full of truly gorgeous, original Corgi art, by some of the top artists working with Corgis as their models. Not only can you enjoy the art in the book, but starting today, you can get a chance to win one or more of the originals through an Ebay auction that just opened today and will run through Friday, December 10th. For those of you who just love auctions (or Ebay) here is your chance to get a REALLY special piece of art.
But the best part of all this goodness is. . . all the proceeds go to benefit CorgiAid, a non-profit rescue organization that pays for medicato expenses for Corgi owners who can’t afford it. Hundreds of Corgi lives have been saved by the hard work of the CorgiAid volunteers. To see how many and read some of their stories, visit the CorgiAid site and check out their work. It is an amazing organization!
So, here’s what you do:
1. Go buy copies of The Watching and gift your family and friends.
2. Check out the Ebay auction for all the cool art, and put in a bid. You might get lucky!
I happen to know that some of the Corgi elves stayed up long nights to make this happen. Go help ’em out now and make it worth their time — it’s truly lovely stuff or I wouldn’t be saying so. I have my eye on a couple of pieces of that art this year myself. . . see you over there!
