A Story, Just for You
Someone you love, written into a story all their own.

There's a particular kind of magic in seeing yourself in a story. In being the hero. In holding a book and realizing — this one is mine.

For a small number of people, I'd love to make that real.

What you get: an original short story or novella — not a sprawling epic, just a beautifully crafted tale — written by hand and published as a Kindle ebook within 30 days. Want something to hold? I can also make it a hardcover keepsake for a small additional fee (don't worry — it won't break the bank; I'll share pricing when we connect).

I'm Nancy Boyd — author of the Stinkerton Detective Agency Mysteries and a shelf of books for grown-ups too. For this rare offering, I'll write an original short story with someone you love at its very heart.

Picture it: a grandchild as the brave young explorer who saves the day. A tender tale honoring someone you miss, so the little ones can know them. A funny, whimsical adventure for a milestone birthday. A gentle story to help a frightened child feel brave again. Whatever you can dream up — if you can tell me who they are, I can bring them to life on the page.

A few things to know:

Your story can be about anything — or anyone — you'd like. The only limit is that I keep every story wholesome and warm, the kind of thing you can share with anyone you love.

The ebook is delivered within 30 days. If your story is for a special occasion — an anniversary, a birthday, an event — I'm glad to deliver it whenever you need, anytime after those 30 days. (If you'd like the hardcover keepsake, just allow a little extra time for printing -- and note there will be small additional fee for processing and shipping.)

How it works:

Once you reserve your story, I'll email you personally within a day or two to gather the details: the name of the person at the story's heart, who they are to you, a few things that make them them, the feeling you'd love the story to carry, and — if it's for a special occasion — the date you'd like it by. From there, I write it, and deliver your ebook within 30 days (or on your timeline, for special occasions).

Because each story is written by hand, I'm taking only three commissions, and reservations close June 30.
