As the hours wind down on the clock for 2023, it’s good to remember that everything moves in cycles.

The Universe has natural rhythms.

Endings and beginnings (AKA “change”) are always happening — and that’s a good thing to remember.

New Year's Eve 2023

New Year’s Eve 2023

I’ll add one more thing that I believe is important to remember:  whether “now” is a turning point or just another day — we only have the current moment to live our lives.  Every breath you take comes one at a time.  Every step (or leap!) you take comes one at a time.

The present moment is the only one that counts, because it’s the only one in which you get to decide, choose, and take action.  Yesterday and tomorrow?  You can’t do those things “then” — only now.

So. . . my message is to live IN the moment, and not just FOR the moment.

Be Here Now was always wise advice — and still is.  I try to live by it.

Finally, some people perform rituals at the close of a year or the beginning of a new one.  Some of those rituals might be:

— reviewing the old year and assessing what worked and what didn’t; what were the wins?
— choosing a word for the coming year that reflects your highest aspirations
— writing down resolutions — what you’d love to accomplish or see manifest in the new year

However you leave the old year and enter the new one is, ultimately, a personal choice.  But it’s important to remember that every new day can be a new beginning; beginnings happen when you want them to!

So as we leave another year behind and enter a new one, I wish you all the blessings of peace, health, love, abundance, mystery, magic and wonder — and every good thing as you walk through this passage into a brand new cycle.

It would be my honor and privilege to serve you in the coming weeks and days — and because I truly care about what kind of world we shape together, I’ll be sharing with you some new and exciting projects.  I hope you’ll join me as we make a difference for what is good and beautiful.
