In keeping with the Earth Day theme today, I wanted to share something that anyone with a printer can do to reduce your “footprint” (that is, the impact your actions make on the environment.) Almost everyone prints something from their computer. It’s pretty much a habit.
If you REALLY want to reduce your “footprint” stop printing so much! Save a tree! (Note to self: do this.)
If there are things that you really DO have to print, then at least you can do this:
- Use a “green” font. Eco Font lets you can download fonts that use less toner.
- Use recycled paper. (Does it really have to be THAT white?? Bleaching puts too many chemicals back into the environment.)
- Reuse your paper. (Can you print on the other side of something that you were going to throw out anyway?)
You too can “go green” — more easily than you thought! Now think about what else you can do to make your home and office greener and more ecologically sustainable 🙂
